Scott A. Vancil (a.k.a Scotty V. Or Scott A/V) was born in McPherson, Kansas as the youngest child, and he studied theatre and film at the University of Kansas (KU), before gaining his certificate in Acting for the Camera at the UCLA Professional Program taught by many industry guests. He is an autistic, schizoaffective, and disabled actor, writer, director, content creator, film critic, host, and performance artist who writes in standard format as well as poetic verse, most commonly iambic pentameter. He has over 16 disabilities and chronic conditions including Tourette's Syndrome. As an actor it has been said he resembles a young Harrison Ford, Ewan McGregor, Edward Norton, David Warner, William Hurt, and Jake Gyllenhaal. David Dean Bottrell, Scott's acting teacher at UCLA, once said of Scott's acting, "Scott can make me laugh out loud and occasionally scares the sh** out of me. I highly recommend him." He has a Patreon and YouTube channel for many shows including: Poetry Reading & Whiskey Review show, 'Poetry Dram;' Coffee Review show, 'Java Junkies;' Criterion Channel movie review show, 'Criterion Corner;' Crunchyroll Anime Review show, 'Crunchy Corner;' and streaming and theatrical film review show, '24 Frames Per Scotty.' His company Stained Glass Eye Productions hopes to make films with 100% cast and crew with disabilities, mental illness, neurodivergence, and/or chronic illness and conditions.
