Born and raised in Los Angeles, Prakash Amritraj is a former Professional Tennis Player on the ATP World Tour. He reached 2 ATP World Tour Finals, amassed singles wins over former world number one ranked player & Australian Open/US Open Champion, Marat Safin and ATP Finals champion Grigor Dimitrov. He represented India as their Number One singles player in the prestigious Davis Cup and competed at all of the 4 majors in the sport. Prior to turning professional Prakash led USC as a freshman to an NCAA title earning himself MVP honors in the finals.
Prakash began his acting career opening NBC's comedy showcase, and went on to act alongside Jamie Dornan, Ben Mendelsohn, and Billy Crystal in "Untogether," which received a Spotlight World Premier at the Tribeca Film Festival. Prakash is next slated to play the lead in the international espionage feature film "Operation: 40 Love." Prakash's film production company, "Sterling Road Films" produced 'Untogether' and is currently in production on a documentary feature film about the life of his father, the historic Indian sports figure Vijay Amritraj, which is being directed by the Oscar Nominated Sami Khan.
Known as one of the premier sports presenters in the world for his sport (covered Wimbledon for BeIN Sports in the Middle East as well as for Star Sports in India), He is now one of the lead faces for the world's largest Tennis network; Tennis Channel (USA). On the network he is known for his humorous personality, quick wit, and relationship with the players. On the heels of 2 highly successful seasons of "Prakash Worldwide," a digital series which Prakash stars in, he recently signed a 3 year deal with Tennis Channel which includes a producing component as well.
Prakash has also built a reputation in the fitness/motivation space as a proven commodity India. He is known for his "What's Your Code" Series which was featured as a monthly double page spread in GQ India Magazine for two and a half years. In the time Prakash wrote for the magazine, GQ India rose to the second most viewed GQ magazine in the entire world only behind the US.
