Melissa Bain was born on July 31, 1976 in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. She later moved (with family), and was raised thru childhood in small Alberta prairie towns (Big Valley and Beiseker), and in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. In the late '90s, she moved to Vancouver, BC to pursue Acting; and appeared in several film/TV productions and indies. In late 2005, Melissa moved North to Prince George, BC. Melissa was cast in a supporting role in the made-for-TV movie "A Great North Christmas", which was filmed on location in Prince George and produced by Barker Street Cinema, in a joint venture with Anamorphic Media, Trilight Entertainment and Princ Films. The feature-length movie is being marketed internationally and is slated for delivery in time for the 2021 Christmas season. Melissa is also an accomplished writer with over 100 radio/TV commercial ad scripts produced to-date, and an Artist (contemporary painter). One of her works 'A New Day' was included in "The Killing" TV series, episode 7 (AMC Network), May 2011.
